Skafte Design

I balance both of my disciplines: art and design. Fine art is the capacity for thinking differently than most, and making connections and perceiving relationships. I am currently teaching art through my website, (janeskafte.com) virtual classes in painting and drawing and live classes through my downtown studio at McGuffey Art Center in Charlottesville.
Design is my technical and aesthetic skill-- based on long experience as a product designer for museums, graphic and web designer for individuals and organizations-- and I try to bring both specialties --Art and Design--together so that my work stays fresh and innovative. I live on a farm in Fluvanna County, in Kents Store.
