Jean Runyon became PVCC’s sixth president in July 2022. Prior to PVCC, Dr. Runyon was the vice president at Front Range Community College’s Larimer Campus in Colorado from 2015 - 2022. Dr. Runyon holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Education in Education Technology Management from Northcentral University, Master of Arts in Education and Human Development from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Bloomsburg University. Runyon recently completed Aspen’s Rising Presidents Fellowship. She was one of only 40 leaders selected from across the country to participate in the program.

I have been in the travel business for over eighteen years and in that time have visited sixty-five world cities, twenty-nine countries and taken thirty-one cruises. I am the author of the book, "Mastering the Bucket List".. I wrote the book as a guide for people desiring to create a personalized bucket list and moving the list from paper to reality. Design is my technical and aesthetic skill-- based on long experience as a product designer for museums, graphic and web designer for individuals and organizations-- and I try to bring both specialties --Art and Design--together so that my work stays fresh and innovative. I am Carolyn Herbert, owner of Herbert's Wine Jelly, LLC and Herbert's Horizon of Hope, our non-profit foundation. We are a Virginia wholesale company featuring specialty products to Virginia and adjacent states. Our products include non-alcoholic wine jellies, Herb Dip/Seasoning Mixes, specialty peanut butter spreads, and premium Hot Cocoa flavors.
I grew up in Northern Virginia and worked in the Tidewater area in Education for nearly 40 years. When our family moved to the Charlottesville area, we began making wine jelly as a way to help those coping with mental health issues and incarceration. We offer a variety of products to enhance meals everyday. We provide training, experience, and outreach for those in need. Our employees have the opportunity to work towards a leadership position in other companies. We are proud to support to those needing support work and again contribute to society.

Daughter-in-law of Chuck Ackenbom, Sarah Ackenbom is from a military family and grew up in several areas around the United States. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in American Studies and a Master’s of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Mary Washington. She worked as an elementary school teacher for 10 years and loved being a part of a child’s individual learning journey.
Sarah coordinates retreats and weddings at Camp Friendship in the fall and spring as well as field trips for students and teachers hoping for a unique outdoor learning experience.
In addition, Sarah is an avid equestrian and is an integral part of Camp Friendship's Equestrian Center.

Two Labs Coffee was founded with two goals in mind: to provide high quality specialty coffee to the everyday coffee drinker, and to give back to the community through fundraiser and charity coffees. TLC founder, Catherine "Cat" Gardner, is a former Paramedic who decided to add small business ownership to her plate while volunteering with a local Fire/EMS squad. Being forced to drink too much very bad gas station coffee after a long 2am emergency call was enough to make her search out something better. Cat currently teaches a high-school based EMT program in Charlottesville, VA by day, and slings coffee beans in the evenings and on weekends.

Mike Feazel is a co-founder of the Lake Monticello News Facebook page. He was on the LMOA Communications & Marketing Committee for six years, chairman for two, and vice chair for one. He helped plan the launch of Lake Views and was an active contributor. Mike is co-chair of the Fluvanna Leadership Development Program, and has been on the steering committee since 2014. The Fluvanna County Board of Supervisors named him in 2016 to the county Economic Development and Tourism Advisory Council, where he is vice chair, and to its Broadband Task Force in 2017, where he was vice chair. He helps promote and generate publicity for a variety of groups and activities around the county.
